I think of refrigeration system design not as a single practice, but as several interlocking ones. Process flows, heating requirements, Air Conditioning demands are inseparable from the refrigeration system, ecology is inseparable from building requirements as we all journey on the path to Net Zero.

As a partner, I strive for honesty and clarity. Our first job is to understand the client’s vision and needs, not to present our own. I value, direct communication and engagement with all stake holders over presentations, as well as the occasional face-to-face meeting over a drink or a meal.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to collaborate with some excellent clients on some wonderful projects throughout almost 1/2 of our planet which allows me to bring unique solutions and experiences to any design.

I am proud of my Canadian home and heritage, but do not consider myself constrained by Canadian design. National style has no place in energy use and technology, where a process must first and foremost be suited to local needs.
